Interviews

Hate throughout time has always left a mark on people. What was imprinted in their minds may not be the same but everyone has an impression about hate. In order to show the impressions of hate on different people, I interviewed them. You will see through my interviews how different ideas of hate were left with different generations.
I asked two people, one from the 1930’s and one from the 1990’s, about their views on hate. They were my grandma and my sister. Before I interviewed the two people I expected their views to be different in a way but mainly the same. The answer I got from family are the following.
1. What are you views on hate in the world?
a. My Grandma: I think that it the worst thing in the world to hate. God doesn’t want us to hate, that is why there are so many wars and trouble. We have to love; we all have to love each other. When people have love in their heart there is peace.
b. My Sister: I think that there is too much hate in the world. Not only between races but between family members and friends and people of the same age. Hate is a form is a form of ignorance and people only hate what they do not understand.
2. What do you think of people like Martin Luther King Jr. who want to stop hate?
a. My Grandma: It is all according to how they go about their fight for peace. If they do it peacefully, yes, if they do it with violence, no.

b. My Sister: I think that they should try and do it, and not worry about what other people think. They should try their best to succeed.
3. Have you ever experienced hate in your life?
a. My Grandma: Truthfully, I never did in my life. At least I do not remember experiencing it.
b. My Sister: Of course everyone experienced hate in their life. They hate you if you do good, or bad, succeed or fail. No matter what someone is going to hate you but you have to have the courage to rise above that and be yourself.

^I interviewed my grandma and my sister to show the difference between people's opinions on hate. it turns out that not much has changed with opinion's towards hate. No one wants it. Also it seems that they both want people to fight for peace, but they have to do it peacefully. The only thing that was different showed me that the levels of hate in the world must have gone up.
